This has been my favorite outfit during my trip to South Africa. It was perfect for the warm, but also windy weather. The top matches perfectly with a high waist skirt/jeans/shorts. The metallic details on the sandals give this outfit a bit of an edge. I received a lot of compliments about the top that I purchased from Zaful.com. If you have bigger arms, just like me, it is a perfect top to cover those.
Our second week started with a three hour trip to Durban. When we arrived at our accommodation we were shocked. What an amazing house! We love everything that is modern and this house had it all. They even had a Jack Russel named Trompie where we fell in love with. Even now, when I see Jack Russels walking on the street I have to think about Trompie. In Durban we enjoyed a nice dinner at Little Havana where we ate a Springbok carpaccio, which is a must when you visit South Africa. The next day we woke up very early to walk along the boulevard of Durban. The weather was amazing and we loved the atmosphere. Since we also wanted to see the Drakensberg we had to leave Durban after a few hours to drive to Winterton. This small town had almost nothing, so we just enjoyed some snacks and drinks from the supermarket. The next day we did something I will never forget!
Although winter is officially almost over, the weather is still very chilly. To ask the weather gods for nice spring weather, I decided to wear a nice pink cardigan that reminds me of spring. The material is great for the winter, but the color screams spring!
Last Saturday I went to the Museumnight where you could access all museums in the city for only €17,50. They were open for public from 20.00 till 01.00 and it was so much fun! Although it was very busy, that did not ruin the fun. Afterwards there was an after party that was open for the whole city. I met some amazing people and also saw some familiar faces. I thought this look would be appropriate for the afterparty and since it was inside, the bare legs did not bother me.
This outfit has been one of my favorites throughout my vacation in South Africa. I wore this to Boulders Beach, the beach where all the penguins live. The outfit reminded me of a penguin and it made me feel right at home haha. Unfortunately every piece in this outfit has been sold out, but many stores have similar products.
Can’t believe it has been already a week since we left South Africa.. I miss the atmosphere, the weather, the nature, and the friendly people. I wore this outfit to a wine tasting in the Stellenbosch area. It has a nice soft suede skirt and a basic striped top. It was perfect for the warm weather and also very comfortable. When you are ever in South Africa I would definitely recommend a wine tasting in this area, it was amazing!
After a long flight with a lay-over in Doha we finally arrived in Johannesburg! After advice from friends and family, we decided to only stay for a couple of hours in Johannesburg and then go to Pretoria. That was definitely a great advice, because I did not feel very comfortable in Johannesburg. We took a Hop-on Hop-off bus for three hours and then drove to Pretoria where we had a perfect accommodation through Airbnb. Pretoria is a lovely small town with looks beautiful with their signature trees. I wish we could have spent a night longer here. Our next stop was Graskop where we did the Panorama Route. It is famous for its beautiful waterfalls, pot holes, and views. We were lucky with the weather and even at God’s window (view point), the fog cleared up. It was a great day, but the best was yet the come. I was looking forward to this day for a long time, the Kruger Park! Doing a safari has always been on the top of my bucket list and now the day had finally come. But what a disappointment..
